The benefits to the mind and soul are endless – the experience of quieting your mind and connecting with your breath leads to a deeper sense of well-being and balance. The yoga classes we offer are endless in their possibilities.
Yoga for Cancer
Reclaim your life by allowing the tools from "Yoga for Cancer" to assist you in your recovery. Small class sizes allow for added attention to your personal needs. Y4C also offers the opportunity to be in a community with other cancer survivors.
$10 per class. Private lessons also available for $65 per hour.
If practiced with consistency, Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength, and develops control and endurance in the whole human body. It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. Pilates' system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginners to advanced. Intensity can be increased over time as the body conditions and adapts to the exercises.
Private lessons and small classes available.
An exercise technique where East meets West. This exercise technique created by Joseph Pilates that is specifically designed to bring the body into muscular balance. This is brought about by infusing calisthenic exercises with yoga poses that create a physique that is both long and strong. Small equipment such as dumbells, Pilates circles, and small ball are utilized to further facilitate the balanced body objective.
Get on the Ball
Pilates mat with the physio ball. This fun and creative class really keeps you engaged by exercising in an unstable base environment, on or with the ball.Using the ball in a Pilates format enhances both core strength and balance.
Rock 'n' Roll
This mat class not only adds to your core strength but offers an opportunity for myofacial release, a form of self-massage. The foam roll is a great tool that will really make you feel open and refreshed, more so than you may have ever felt before.
Bike & Barre
This class offers both cardio & core in one class. We begin with a neighborhood “spin” in the studio followed by intro to bar. Various equipment, including the ballet bar, small weights, and more offer a challenging and satisfying workout.
Pilates mat with a twist. We begin with spinning on the bike, then challenge your core with mat Pilates and finish with a long deep stretch to either start or end your day.
Athletic Basic Conditioning
For persons getting introduced or reintroduced to exercise to achieve fitness and wellbeing. The class will begin with a warm-up to prepare muscles, and will be followed by cardio and core. The session ends with a cool down and stretch.
ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART.
These conditions all have one important thing in common: they are often a result of overused muscles.ART enhances range of motion and the general healing process with very specific myofacial release while taking the affected extremity or area through range of motion either actively or passively.

Massage executed for a specific purpose involving rubbing, shifting of tissues, stripping of tissues, stripping and relief of trigger points (specific sore soft tissue points found throughout the body)
A technique developed by Michel Young involving direct massage with stripping of the muscles while taking the affected muscle through range of motion. The client is passive while the therapist does whatever movement is required to achieve optimum results.
A technique designed to relax the client and enhance a feeling of well being. Swedish can be regarded as therapeutic because it can ease blood pressure, enhance circulation and increase lymphatic flow. This technique has a well-deserved reputation as "soothing the fevered brow".
The use or employment of "hot stones" (smooth volcanic rock) heated just enough to really relax the muscles by either specific placement on the body or used actively in massage by the therapist. Occasionally Valerie will use hot stones as heat therapy prior to "going in" to a tight muscle group for relation purposes.
